Contemporary Forgery found with T2Ltd

Coin found on a recent detecting rally in the UK :ukflag: after cleaning it turned out to be a contemporary forgery, the coin came up at a depth of 11" the settings were sens 80 disc 10 tones 2+
.After a quick wash and then soaking it in warm olive oil to remove the crud I could see the bronze disease underneath the silver, unfortunately if I try to clean any more ie with electrolysis it would probably fall apart. :crylol:

Fred, thats a nice find mate, just getting ready to go out detecting later on my own permission, will be shooting the T2 from the hip with the SEF12x10 on a small roman site and if the weather stays warm may venture into the river next to the field as it could be possible that some votive offerings may be in the area.

Happy hunting
