Constant Tone

If tones are a bother then we can use Constant sound for searching and then Ferrous and or Conductive to aid in the ID of the target. Once the detector is set to our preferences we need to select Constant as our last Menu action. We then search using Constant to find a target,then pinpoint to locate the center, sweep from several directions looking for a consistent sound and then push the Back Pad. The Back Pad will take us to sounds where we can select Conductive or Ferrous to further ID the target. After a go or no go we go back to Constant and repeat the process. This technique can be used for other purposes, using the Back Pad as a shortcut, to make it a little easier. I search in Ferrous and use the BackPad to go to sounds and switch between Ferrous and Conductive at times.

One important observation is that in normal operation the last 1/8 to 1/4
