considering buying an excelerator coil...

Hi folks,

I own a whites MXT with the stock coil, a whites 6x10 DD coil and the 4x6 shooter coil. I leave the 6x10 on most of the time. I'm considering getting an excerlator coil but am uncertain which one I want. Any of you folks have opinions on which excelerator coil you like best? I'm thinking about the 6" DD excelerator coil but want to get some opinions first. Thanks for the input!!

The 6" DD Excelerator is my favorite small coil. It has great depth for a small coil, VDI numbers are accurate and you can get great target separation in high trash areas. My wife likes her 4.5x7 DD Excelerator and never takes it off her MXT. I am like you and use the 6x10 most of the time, but when I want a small coil I go to my 6" Excelerator. Since getting the 6" excelerator I never use my 4x6 coil. I like the bigger foot print and I am not forced to go slow. I think you would like the 6" Excelerator. Good luck with your decision. I've used the 6" Excelerator for the last 2 months and have been very pleased with it. It and the stock 950 coil are all I've used on my MXT so far. My humble guess is your 4X6 shooter is equivalent to the EX 6" so you have that need covered already. Coincidently, I just order a Eclipse 6X10. Looking forward to working the turf with it. Good luck with your decision.
