a 1021 three years old for around 500 bucks,,,, what do ya think? hunting in northern California for old silver and jewelry,,, was saving for an Etrac but thught this might be a good holdover machine untill I hit the big time,,,, I run a Tesoro Silver now

55 views and no opinions ???? don't worry about being polite,,,speak your mind lol

We all know they are great machines. I love mine. CZs are additive though. I once had two CZ3s and a CZ70 pro at the same time. That was in addition to my F75 LTD and my G2. There are days that only a CZ feels right. Go for it, you will love the CZ3s.

Good luck and post your finds.

I will and thanks for the reply !!! Do you run a hip mount, or mid chest ever ?

If using a larger coil or perhaps hunting a beach a body mount works well and has an excellent hipmount attachment or fisher makes a nice chest mount....

What cometguy said is correct CZ's are addictive. I have had my share through the year's. And ever body seems to have there favorite whether it be digital or analog. I'm even looking for another now in the classifieds. Being and old coin hunter myself I have always preferred the CZ-3D. I love my E-trac ,But I still long for another properly tuned CZ-3D. And when I find one I will hold on to it like the grim reaper!

fumy you should mention the etrac,,, I was saving to buy one and just could not wait,,,, so I thought the CZ would tide me over,,,, should I stop saving for the etrac?

I think you should sell me your CZ-3D and keep saving for the E-trac. No they are both great machines. I think the CZ-3D has coil for coil more raw depth. Where as the E-trc can I.D. more precise at depth and a little better in iron in my area at least. These are the only two machines I truley loved. The others I just liked a lot, like that girl in high school you were just friends with.

hahahahah nice comparison,,, thanks for the insight. I feel really good about my purchase and hope to get allot of practice with it. Hope also the hip mount is a plus... lighter is better when your going for long hunts

CZ's are though to beat, but in iron ridden sites, the E-Trac with an 8 inch or smaller coil will do better. With a lot of iron present, you have to hunt in discrim setting 0 on a CZ to eliminate getting fooled by the iron wrap falsing, and with the concentric coil, iron will mask targets more than with the DD coil. The smaller DD coil on the E-Trac, along with running in Two Tone Ferrous mode, will 'see' masked targets better. And Harold is correct...the E-Trac will ID them better at depth.

Also, running Conductive mode with multi tones, the conductive and ferrous numbers are a big help in iron laden sites...along with that high tone peep that creeps in when it sniffs out silver in all the garbage.

maybe the CZ will get me to an etrac faster with better finds,,,,,

A 3yr old 1021 CZ3D??? Is that possible? How long has it been since they stopped making CZ3D's at the Los Banos facility? In any case, a properly tuned CZ3D is definitely worth $500.00

now you got me thinking,,,, his add may have stated HE OWED it for three years,,,, what are the dates they stopped the 1021's??? the one I am getting is definatly a 1021,,,
