Conquistador

Hi:
Thinking of doing some detecting again. I had a couple of whites before and sold them.
I like the weight of the tesoro silver umax but I am not sure what I want yet.
I saw a conquistador and read that it had three frequencies.
Where does this fall into the tesoro line.
Just below the golden umax?
Was if a good detector for coins or other things like relics or gold.

Thanks
David F

I also saw the diablo for sale on epay.
Were these mostly for gold nuggets etc etc. Any info at all on these detectorsvwould be appreciated.
If one of them came along at the right price I would probably buy them but I would like to know a little more about them.
thanks again

I just missed out on one on E-bay. Got outbid. Now i am looking to get a Compadre. Figure i don't need all the fancy stuff, just a machine that FINDS stuff. Then i Dig it up. LOL

I have a Conquistador and like it a lot. Very similar to the Silver Sabre umax except for the all metal switch (instead of pinpoint button) and the 3 frequencies. The 3 frequencies are aimed at eliminating crosstalk with other machines as in competition hunts etc. It was listed just below the Golden when they were in the same catalog. You don't see too much about them in the forums, but as I say, I have been happy with mine.

I think I will probably pick up a silver soon.
I spend more and more time researching as I get close to buying a detector.
The silver seems the way to go right now.

You have to consider if you need the manual Ground Balance for your conditions. Kind folks here have mentioned the Vaquero as a great option. You may want to compare them.

Thanks but I have looked at it but think I will stay with the max or even the bandido ll which is better than the silver umax right?
and even if I daydream a little I can use it for a little nugget hunting When I go on vacation.
