Connection tightness

Got to looking at the connection,(coil) on my AT PRO this afternoon. From what you can see in the picture do you feel the, "black" connector is screwed in enough?

Guess I should have kept on looking. The black nut connector on the headphone adapter is also not screwed in all the way, but, it feels tight. Normal?

My coil wire is the same but it is tight so it is normal.

That black connector is just a flex protector for the cable, prevents the cable from flexing at to much of an angle. (in case you were thinking it had something to do with waterproofness, it doesn't)

Thanks guys. Neil, that is precisely what I was thinking.

The connectors are difficult to get all the way in when new. I plug the connector in, tighten as much as possible and wiggle the connector in more and re tighten. After changing coils a few times it become easier and it will seat in place the first time.
