After a lot of deliberation, research and consideration, I have chosen the Tesoro Silver series to be the first recipient of our Metal Detector of the Decade Award. Having personally used every Silver model since the Silver Sabre Plus was introduced, I have a good, working knowledge of how they operate and perform. Over the years we have brought a great many beginners into this great hobby, starting them with the Silver models. Most of them keep their Silver, even when they progress to another model. We based our decision on a number of factors: ten years of production of the same series/model, quality, performance, factory service, sales and most importantly to me; value. I consider the Silver series to be one of the best buys in the metal detecting industry. We felt Tesoro deserved this award and they will be receiving their award certificate any day now (in the mail guys).
