JUST READ ON THE "TREASURE DEPOT" THAT MINELAB HAS BEEN SOLD TO "CODAN LIMITED" :confused:CHECK THE MINELAB LINK---LOTS OF INFO.

an acquisition company has owned them for five years, and after making a pile of money they sold to a company involved with technology. Expect no changes.
 
If you'd read this forum on a more regular basis, you'd have seen this topic discussed last week. :shrug: HH Randy
 
Do you have any idea about the detector companies total unit count per year, even better if you knew their quantities of their best sellers or is that sort a thing classified, haha.
 
Well..........you can somewhat read between the lines.

As reported by Codan, Minelab is:

Grossing ~$50M/yr
Profit before taxes ~$10M/yr
Paying 190 employees worldwide.

Old school manufacturing ratio is your lowest price to distributors is about 3X your manufactured cost per unit. So if you can make a guesstimate of the average cost per unit to a distributor across their entire product line, then you may get in the ball park.
