Hello explorer users im so confused with what My explorer xs lately . lol im running in advanced mode with my own disced pattern and sensativity set at 30 auto .My question is what the heck are all these 1 way signals that are reading 22-23-24-25- at 8 or so inches i dig but not much found could it be Iron disinigrating into the soil most of the time when i dig there is iron spots. Im useing the etrac pro coil insted of the original coil is this why? This area im hunting is really old farm land my friend who has a Etrac found a 1744 1 reale today and im just wondering if i need too dig strong repetable signals only.Thank You for your time P.S. any programs you could share with me too try please feel free too send them too my E-Mail

One way signals can be good items.............the sound of the response can tell you a lot.. Iron will give a kind of wolfing sound and not like a coin...If the response area keeps moving on the ground that to is something to consider, a good target won't move around..
I most always move a couple of feet to the right or left to see if it will repeat, if the sound disappears it's probably trash.

Thank you Tworivers your comment is really helpful.

Put back original coil and compare with your Pro coil, some coils are hotter then others. Try to use different Noise Channel, different channels performs a bit different, like 1 and 11 and can help in your situation. Ferrous sounds can change situation too. But if you are new to FBS dig good or not bad repeatable signals, no point to waist time until you learn your detector.

Thank you stasys for the info i will try the stock/pro coil comparisan for sure.
