Confused Porcupine and a Couple of Eagles....

While out looking for Bald Eagles at Buffalo Lake Nat'l Wildlife Refuge we ran across what we thought might have been a large nest. When we got closer it moved a bit. Who would have thunk it.....a porcupine in a tree!! Have never ran across anything like it.
We did find some eagles. 5 adult Bald Eagles and 3 juveniles. They were too far away to get a good shot.....but got a couple anyway.. the one setting on the ice was probably a qtr mile away...the one flying overhead was a little closer but still too far for a clear shot...

I wonder why the porcupine was so far up the tree? You have been missed and it is great seeing you make a Post again. Thanks for sharing. Kelley (Texas) :)

Hello Frank. Wonderful. Think that porcupine made your day. Great pictures.

Thanks for sharing and take care.

That porcupine sure looks funny. That close up of it deserves a frame. :)

Thanks for the kind comments gang... hopefully will be on a bit more. Have been on the road for work and have a few photos to share once I go through them. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I love the animal photos. Thank you Frank for sharing them with us. I bet that porcupine was escaping some sort of predator. Sure hope he could get down from there. Thanks again for the pictures! They're spectacular!
