I just got my SE afew week a go and thought it was a piece of junk'.............But now I am starting to get it and can see it's advantage. I would have sold it but for this form. You guy's are right it take's time to under stand and go deep. What I would like to know is what is (Hunt in Adanced-Digital) I have heard abought this but don't no what it is? Do I have this on my SE or is this just on the Exp-2 . Thank's ...........Hobby.............

I don't have the SE but I suppose it is setup like the other Explorers. What the Advanced refers to is being able to access all the adjustments. Main menu>Options>Advanced. Maybe this is what you are talking about?

Options that were on the II, plus a few more, are on the SE, just not necessarily in the same location.

Thank's for the info I don't have my SE with me so I can't check it out right now but will latter .Thank's.....Hobby.............:drinking:

Use the unit in quickstart for about a month until you get the feel for the machine indeed SE has all the aspects of previous Explorers so time to hit the manual again.
Believe me if you find an experienced Explorer user in your area a day or two in the field where there are targets and old silver is worth many times reading the manual or forums and will greatly decrease your learning curve..Many do not use the digital but watch the bouncing peep site in laymans language but personally I like to use the digital and if I get a good number and tone switch over to the target crosshair screen and after a while correlating tone, digital number and crosshair position you will know when you have a good target. If you don't take it slow my frind you are going to get completely confused and if you do take it slow learning facet by facet your on your way to having one of the best detectors on the market...

I think the I-D on the EXPLOR's is real good .I go slow but dig less bad target's but in bad trashy place's I think a smaller coil would be better. The more I use it the more I like it ....HH...........Hobby.........

I was able to fool with a friends SE this weekend. From what I can see the SE does not have the 'advance' menu like the EXll does. The SE still has all the same menus that the EXll does and as mentioned previously in this thread has all the options that the EXll does. Hope this helps.

Your right That's why I asked .I could not find it and figured it out. There are just a few differances between the two but that's it......HH........Hobby:crazy:
