Well second week with 3030 and my confidence level is staring to rise. Another silver quarter from the same park as yesterday and 3 Indians all about 8" quarter was deep guessing near 10". That was one of my concerns about ctx didn't know if it would go deep I sure am sold now. Good luck and HH.

Congrats on your finds, I too am new to CTX, are you using the standard coins program?

No I have customized a mode gone hunting program with some discrimination for finding silver and coppers. Combined and ferrous coin.

Had to grin when I saw this topic. My trip out with the CTX was a disaster, at best.....I found a Memorial penny and a clad dime, the penny was on the surface, just happened to see it!
Since then I have read the manual a few more times and even created a silver/gold program using the software the came with the machine (eXchange2)......it seems to be working fairly well. I like the Target Trace feature and the CTX's ability to seek out DEEP targets. I have dug and dug, with no response from my ProPointer and just about given up a couple of times, however, I kept digging and eventually did hit the target. I've only had this machine a few days, but, like anything new.....there is a learning curve. I think this one will be just as easy as my F75 in figuring out the intricacies, at least, I hope so.

My confidence is building.........
