Confederate Script I

Got out on Saturday with my two digging buddies past Saturday to our favorite 500 acre plus site in VA. Farmer finally harvested his soy bean crop so digging so close to the ground was like digging a brand new site. We all dig typical flat buttons, fired .56, bayonet scabbard tip and tie tap. Then I got a perfect lock on 72 reading on my XP Deus, dug a perfect 4-6 inch plug and I was staring at the backside of a two piece button; turned it over and BAM- script I. I couldn’t believe it-backmark reads: LONDON S.ISAACS CAMPBELL CO; British manufacturer.

We have pounded this battle site/camp for 10 years now so do not know why know one dug this button earlier. So far this is the “first” script I button to come out of this site. Well be going back this Saturday so am anxious to see what other goodies the XP Deus will sniff out of the ground. I’m using Deus Fast 14 KHZ. I’ve only been using the Deus for 11 months but love the results-this is my first Reb button with the XP and Lord willing will not be my last. Happy Digging Diggers.

That's a beautiful Script I Congrats! Amazing it has been missed all those years so it was meant to be for you. My first CS button was a beauty Script I with the same back mark. I was so excited and remember it like it was yesterday. However I just picked up a used Deus yesterday and I'm excited to try it out on some of my sites. Congrats again on an awesome button. Hope you find a bunch more with that Deus.

You will not be disappointed with the Deus, funny thing I bought the Deus brand new Jan 2019 but did not start using it until Oct 2019 so I have just over a year on my belt. I have more quality finds/buttons/coins with this machine in just a year usage then my over 2 years with my Nox 800.

That's good to hear you've had great success with it even over the NOX. I have the NOX as well and I am still having trouble meshing with it. I have been swinging an Etrac for the last 8 years so it's not like I am not familiar with Minelab. I have made some good finds with the NOX but just not in love with it. I'm looking forward to learning the Deus.
