Conduct/Ferrous Scale

I think this is how the display is laid out. I am not sure of the number of pixels per cm for the LCD but it is not in my opinion 1024. I think we get an approximation that is close to the actual conductivity and ferrous content as measured by the electronics. I like the digital representation best but that is up to the individual. I pretty much know what the various coins will read in the soil I hunt and will make and mental note if I search a new area and the numbers skew to the left.

Here are some pointers about the use of the conductive/ferrous scale and illustration posted above. The upper left corner reads 31/31 for iron. The pulse induction type detector will give a high reading on iron or at least the ones I have owned will do so. The conductive band has 31 points from left to right that will all give the same high reading. Ferrous has 31 points and the metal with the lowest ferrous content will read all the way from top to bottom at the left side of the display.
Copper is the standard against which all other metals are measured for relative conductivity. Silver falls in the upper right quadrant of the display. That means silver is most likely to hit on the right half of the display and then

In general I think we have to tune our mind for searching psychologically at first and technologically at second. So many points to be taken in mind, 100+ at least. How to keep the coil, sweep speed, coverage of the ground, angle, the feeling where to search, settings, simple luck, experience ( most important), battery, environmental temperature, quantity of whiskey the day before, heat with your or other wife and many many other reasons. With regard to any pattern:
