Condensation behind screen.

New member
Came back from a hunt in 35 degree weather put and put my AT Pro in the house. I now see what appears to be condensation behind the clear screen Never been submerged and never soaked in a rain storm. Change in temp must have caused it.

Quite common for At Pro's to get an air bubble between the screen and the decal that is on the front of your detector. Now if it is inside your detector you have a bigger problem. Contact Garrett and they will send you a new decal. You simply peel off the old decal and apply the new one. You have to clean the screen very carefully and apply the new decal so there are no air bubbles present.
I have done this on my detector and now it needs to be done again and my machine is about 6yrs. old.

This site above will show you how your decal comes off and it also shows you how to open up the At Pro and look inside. Opening the detector may cancel your warranty but if you have water inside, the sooner you get it out the better.

Most of the time it is just like the image above and not water in the guts of the machine. Like others have said call Garrett or you can use a hair dryer to heat the sticker and peel it up just enough to release the build up of air/condensation and then all you have to do is put that part of the sticker back down. I had the same issue until I stabbed my AT Pro with my Garrett digging tool . I was getting it out of its holder, swung that baby around to start digging and BLAM right into the screen! Just enough to put a small hole in the sticker, and what do you know the "rainbow" effect line was gone :)
