Conchita and I got out this morning..

Didn't get much. Very corroded 1899 and 1910 cents and a little pewter button. Started raining earlier than usual so we went scoping new spots instead.

Not sure if I told you folks about this before or not. Found this place about 4 years ago. We were driving along and spotted this field mound.

Thinking it was an old house site that wasn't on the maps we stopped to investigate.

While we were looking the property owner came out to see what we were up to and after being reassured he told us the story. About ten years before he had hired a young fella with a Bobcat to clear up the area around the 180 year old family plot. The kid misunderstood and thought he meant "clear the area". Thats what he did. There are about 40 stones in the pile.
