Computer related question: Programs

Elton

New member
I being a lot less than computer savvy than most of you need some advice.

I knowingly purchased the computer that had 8.1 programming.

My question is ..Should I upgrade to the Windows 10 program. I have till July 29, 2016 for this free upgrade.

What benefit would this program on my computer make ??????????????????????.

What issues could this program cause me ????????.

If it is a touch screen then yes Windows 10 is the way to go.

Personally I think Windows 8/8.1 is another Windows Vista from Microsoft. I would prefer to downgrade to Windows 7 if possible.

Windows 10 isn't bad but is designed to work best with a touch screen.

I would go with Windows 10 just to get my start button back.

Windows 10:

Windows 10 is more consistent be it on smartphones, tablets or PC's
It has a Start button again. Not quite like the Windows 7, but much better than Windows 8.
It has a new browser called Spartan/Edge which isn't supported by a lot of apps yet, but you can still use Internet Explorer.
You can have multiple desktops which can be cool if you tend to run a lot of apps at the same time.
A new personal assistant named Cortana makes voice apps much easier to use. If you have a mic just talk to your PC.

Thanks southwind..I do not have a touch screen computer.. I do not use a lot of apps..I'm computer illiterate to be honest.
Outside of e-mail...The forum here, and occasional search on Internet explorer I do nothing else.
I do have some news, and weather apps downloaded from the store portion available for use by me.

Now I will tell you if you decided to upgrade to 10, which I would, and you don't like it DO NOT try and go back to Windows 8. A lot of horror stories about people trying to uninstall Windows 10 to go back to 8.

Can someone post the steps one has to take to upload a program from exchange 2? It has been so long since I have used it I forgot the steps.I want to make my own program and put it in the detector.I need the manual simplified.

Thank you,
Jim
