Got out to detectin the park on my way home from shoping , went to the tot lot wood chips found two quarters and some pennys i can get just as close to poles as my M-6 whith the small coil but it does go off about 12" away from iron poles the trick is to swing derectley at the pole and if a coin is by it you will get a dubble beep i found both quarters that way if i turned it to foil i never heard a sound over the foil or iron you may get a crackle pop but not a strong signal but when you hit a good target it sounds off really clear i also searched the grass at the bottom of the sliding hill and i was amazed at how good it was at filtering the trash - iron and foil that is i found several moor quarters in the grass and dimes pennys some coin spills then i took it to a very trash infested spot and it did well i was abel to isolate targets very well again i like the way it cancels foil and iron whith just a easy turn of the dial .. To see how deep a target was i would lift it off the ground figuing its depth on coins is about 5" so if it beeps at 3" then your coin is 2" down or so i also did a test using a nail and a penny at 4.5" i put the nail on top of the penny and tuned out the iron it gave a good beep ,, now i could not do that whith my cibola its an understatment to say this is a good detector no its an exelent detector the E.D 180 is really hot on this machina it will not cover lots of ground but the ground it covers nothing will hide stay tuned for report NO.3 in the future
