So I’m looking for a machine to compliment my XP Deus that’s waterproof, good on the beach if I’m not fishing etc. I kind of feel that real main performance difference between the 800 and XP comes down to the multi frequency. So to save a little cash I’m leaning towards the 600. As a relic hunter am I missing something here with my thinking?

600 runs the same frees in multifreq mode and the 800. You lose some adjustability and the gold modes. overall, the 600 works the same as the 800 in day to day hunting. does not come with wireless headphones, or the WM-08 receiver. You can buy the 800, and sell off the these, and net at lease a 100 bucks back. But, I would just buy the 600 if it is a backup machine

Would be a great complement for your XP Deus. I have the 800 for water hunting. it is quite a bit heavier than Deus. Multi frequency or not, in my humble opinion there is no better land machine than Deus. I have found some very great gold jewelry finds with it.
