Complaint about Fisher and GB2

It is difficult for me to believe that Fisher will charge $900.00 for the GB2 plus $100.00 for a set of earphones AND when the GB2 arrives there is NO armstrap!!!!!!!! The 50 cent{what it's worth} arm strap has to be ordered seperate!! Fisher, someone in your marketing dept. is an idiot.I own 4 minelabs,5 garrets,1 tesoro,2 whites,2 fishers and will NEVER spend another $ on a cheap company like fisher.

'Tis a downright turrible world we live in these days, Togg. But maybe not quite as turrible as ya thunk it were......... since that's not what you paid, and the GB2 is sufficiently nose-heavy that you don't need an arm strap anyhow.

Hmmm, never used an armstrap on a Gold Bug and have never missed it. I have straps and would not put one on my unit or use it if I did. It would just get in the way.

The Gold Bug 2 arm cup for many, many years had no slots for an arm strap. That only happened later when Fisher standardized the armrest cup and used the same slotted version used on other units that need a strap. So it is not something missing and only appears that way now that there are slots in the cup. I guess at least now there are slots for a strap should you care to use one.

Togg,

I'll add to the chrous by telling you I have never used it, never missed it and never wanted it.

I don't think Fisher was trying to put the screws to you in any way.

If their customers thought they did that, they would not remain one of the most popular detector manufacturers in the industry.

Have you thought of contacting Fisher and asking them to send you one if it is that important to you?
