Compass, Troy, and Wilson

 Hello everyone!...I have been wondering about the present situation involving these three metal detector companies : ... ( Compass Metal Detectors, Troy Custom Detectors, and Wilson Metal Detectors). Does anyone know which ones are still in business? They all three have made great detectors in the past. It would be a shame to see any of them go down. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, RDF:cool::detecting:

Sorry Reddirt, Wilson and Compass are kaput, but you can go here
for Troys: http://www.troycustomdetectors.com/

Compass burned down about 8-10 years back and an enterprising technician
named Goss tried, with his wife helping, to revive it and keep a repair biz
going for awhile, but ran dry of capital and apparently gave it up, for now
at least. I heard that Mr Wilson quit because of health probs and low
sales and possibly he passed away. All I know for now.
The Wilson heyday was in the 70's.
:goodnight:

P.S. Compass units can still be found. They are fine detectors, especially
the 77-B. If you get one and need it repaired, you can ask Keith Wills, who
knows about them all and sells some too(he may even have a Wilson or two!).

Wilson is around
Paul Wilson of Wilson Electronics. 4415 Brookton DR. South Bend IN. 46614
574-291-1226.

Troy has been kinda, could be, maybe come out with a new detector for a few years now. Nothing yet...Most people have stopped waiting. You can only get x3 and x5 used. I wanted to get a new X5 last year the guys at the the dealership just laughed at me. So they don't see much hope of a new Troy coming out.... I still am hoping... Z
