What seems to be the depth comparison between the Quattro and the Explorer 11 and are the coils the same?
Thanks!
BW

Depth I feel with the right setting for the area and knowing your detector the Explorer XS II will do better, but the Quattro will lock on better for most. The Explorer has more settings that you can fine tune it while the Quattro is more of a turn on a go detector that is easier to use and understand.
On accual targets we have did some comparison with the Quattro and the XS II we found the Quattro seen what the Explorer seen, but seem to lock on better. The depth were around 9-10 inches.

Thanks, Rick. I was curious if someone could expect similar depth using the Quattro or if it was necessary to "learn" the Explorer to get max depth.

I feel for most they will see similar depth. If you are new to the FBS you may see more depth with the Quattro as it seems to lock on better so you can hear the targets better. If you are experienced with the FBS then you will know more of what each setting will do, so the Explorer XS II will be able to be tweaked to get more depth.
The learning curve is a little differnt between the Quattro and the Explorer in my opinion.
