Comparison: Eldorado and Bandido...anyone know them?

I was asked what the difference was between these units. Having never even used the Eldorado and never having read about or used a Bandido I can't answer the question. Both are uMax but beyond that I have no idea.

Open for input. Thanks.

I asked the tech at Tesoro, and if I remember correctly, he said it was the audio. They both appear to be identical. I wonder how they compare to the Vaquero? HH.

The Eldo replaced the BIIumax. They are very similar. The bandito would probably be a little quieter in iron trash, since it is the older ed-120 discrimination, while the Eldo has the ed-180 disc. The bandito also has the slower pinpointing whereas the eldo retunes much faster, if you hover over the target too long. I like my bandito. But as Arch mentioned, they are a little outdated compared to the newer models. Outdated is probably the wrong word, since they are still good detectors, but the C,V & T are more sensitive. Hope this helps a little.

J.

Ps. The eldo also has the frequency shift too, which is another nice feature.

I found the Eldorado to be the easiest detector to ground balance that I had ever used. One of the field testers, Michael O. Smith also noted this. Also when fitted with the 12x10 coil the Eldorado has depth that I believe will rival that of the H.O.T. detectors. This is however, in my soil conditions which are low to moderate minerals.
