Comparison between the CZ3D and the F 75

Hi, all:

I see some great posts concerning both these machines and would like to hear from someone who has compared the two of them with each other. Interested in depth, ease of operation and any other comparisons you would like to offer.

Thanks, and keep on diggin'

I had an F-75 for 11 months.Really, Really,Really tried to like it. I sold it.
Still (always will) have the CZ-3D. Why? because I did not find one instance that the F-75 would do anything as well as the 3D.Lots of excuses are made for the F-75 by people like me that spent a bunch of money for a machine that can be out hunted by less expensive and better built detectors. Detecting should be fun, My F-75 was far from fun.
By the time an F75 user tries to get the thing setup (stable), I'll have the site hunted and on my way home with the 3D! Oh, I bought the 3D after using the F-75 fo 11 months.

I tried a F-70 first, and had a terrible time trying to keep the machine stable so I could hunt. It was one of the newer machines that didn't have the glitch. I traded the F-70 straight up for one of the older CZ 3d 1021 series, and have no regrets. I love the 3d, it does the same thing as the new F series, but is user friendly.

U R FAST TAKES ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO MOVE MY F 75 love it

Typing in all caps means you are yelling.
Do not yell at me! :ranting:
Yes, I am fast and good with a detector. Been detecting a loooooong time. I know what works and what doesn't. He asked for an opinion I gave it!
I've used both 3D and F-75 side by side have you?

The F70 and the CZ3d are BOTH different animals. The ultra fast processors on the Fseries are the accumulation of today's technology advancements. Both are very capable machines. As someone who has ran both machines I can tell you that the CZ line are more of your "turn on and go" in comparison to the F series detectors that give more options available to the user. I personally prefer the more simplistic CZ's that get all the depth I need out of a machine. I have ran the CZ's for a while and just seem to be more comfortable with that line. Yes it is a confidence thing! I bet if you took someone who is new to detecting and only ran the F series for as long as the CZ line has been out they would say that the F series is the tops. Only time will tell. It is all a matter of personal preference. Old analog technology vs new fast microprocessor technology. Both detectors are quite capable.

One of the best analyzations ever given on this forum ....I was going to give the apple and oranges post but after reading your post Nah you covered it well.
Great post Rob....

Good post robo. Being among those myself that have used cz's since back into the 90's and in 07 opted to try the F 75 and ended up loving the 75, I can honestly state, BOTH ARE GREAT DETECTORS and each does what they were designed to do. The F 75 and I "hit it off" immediately, and I have never looked back. But, I can say the same thing about my first cz, a cz6 and then in 04, the cz3d. I loved both of those detectors as well. I learned the cz's very well, just like I have learned the F 75. The key, whatever you swing, is to learn it. HH jim tn

The CZ's are built like a tank, I hate to thing what my F-70 will look like in 10 years of use.
Good post Robo.
