A compaRison like this is apples to oranges... Very very different machines. I'm sitting in my car as I write this with my sovereign elite and my nauty 2b next to me lol. The nauty is a fast swing speed machine and the Sov a slow. The nauty runs in a type of mixed mode allowing you to hear the all metal and disc simultaneously whereas the sov is one or the other. The nautilus can be a great unit in iron laden areas with a smaller coil and you will retain very good depth. A larger coil makes it very difficult for seperation due to the Nauty actually seeing many signals even before they get under the coil. It will detect the whole coil width and even a bit outside of the coil depending on size and depth of the target. Iveb been using the Sov in ion recently and find without a small coil the iron null can be overwhelming and while in a null only shallow nonferrous will break through it. So if u have two nails a foot apart at 4" and a coin between them at 6" u may miss the coin if ur scanning in a null or by not using a smaller coil. Both have there strong points, but neither really excels in iron. For iron trashed sites you are actually better of with a small coiled fast recovery machine like an f75 or T2 or tesoro... Just my 2 cents.
