Anyone here that has used both the Garrett 2500 or 1500 and the MXT? I'm just wanting to know how either of the Garretts compare to the MXT? thanks

I have used all 3 and find I like the MXT better as it is easier to use and get as much if not more depth with the MXT. I found the image size on the GTI your pinpointing had to be right on for it to be correct. I like using the relic mode on the MXT so I have the 2 tones also as I find I can swing the coil faster.

MXT Advantage:
* Sophisticated Ground Tracking in BOTH Discrimination and All Metal Mode
* 14.7 kHz Circuit doubles depth on low conductor / gold.
* Superior Visual Resolution from Ferrous to Non-Ferrous
* Analog Audio Target Response for Superior Target Characteristics
* Larger VDI #s and Intensity Bar Marks the Written Scale below.
* Superior Battery Life, up to 45 hours.
* Metal Housing

Garrett GTI 2500 / 1500
* Visual Sizing A through E (Imaging)
* Lower Frequency Smoother/Quieter over park ground conditions
* Bell Tone ID or Bi-Tone ID (Digital) pleasant to the ear, dividing line between Non-Ferrous LOW and High Conductive Targets
* ABS
* Deeper on Silver Coinage

Both have a variety of coils available.

Not sure if the Discrimination Mode actually tracks anywhere near the MXT.
