Can anyone compare the f75 to mxt.I keep hearing it chatter is it is bad as mxt?How is the f 75 in parks loaded with bottle caps and pull tabs?Compare depth to mxt with stock coils?Head to head which do you think is better?I like that the f75 has notch the mxt is dial up and i like being able to notch certain items out and not loose everything else which happens if you have dial up.The ground readings here on the mxt are from 60 to 85 depending on area, the mxt is ok has its place. But iam interested in f75 or explorer SE,Now using mxt idx and ace 250 The 250 is a great machine for the price but would like a little more control so i can tweak things. Thanks for the help.

Your statement answered your own question.

But let me start from the beginning.

The MXT, as we all know is a very good detector and i had one. I switched later to the M6 because of the tone ID.

After two weeks with the F75 i sold my M6 because the F75 can do more than the MXT or M6.

The biggest mistake Whites made with the MXT was to give it the 9.5 concentric coil as standard. That coil sees too much ground and too many targets at once. Most of the time you have to run it low on sensitivity because of the coil. You can overcome that problems with the 10x6 DD coil.

The MXT does not have as many tone ID modes as the F75. If you count the 2 tone relic mode as a tone id mode it has one. The F75 has 8.

The processing modes of the F75 gives more control of the (preamp)gain than the MXT with the three modes (coin and jewelry, relic, prospecting).

The batterie life of the F75 with just 4 AAs equals the life of the MXT with 8 AAs.

The F75 has less weight.

The F75 IDs targets better at depth.

The DD coil of the F75 separates better than the 9.5 standard coil of the MXT.

The DD coil of the F75 is deeper in bad ground.

To overcome ground chatter on the F75 just adjust the ground balance a little to the positive side.

The F75 has a backlight, the MXT has not.

The F75 has a static all metal mode, not on MXT.

You can bent the armrest of the F75 to fit your arm, not on MXT (maybe one time, hehehe.

I don't know if I covered it all, but yes, I think the F75 is the better detector.

Some more question what is a static mode on f 75 and do i understand that you can notch out lower half of target or the higher half target.I mean if pull tabs were running 21 22 you could notch out 21 and still keep 22 i will half to download manual.thanks.On the depth have you compared findings.

1. Static mode is a non motion all metal mode like the pinpoint mode.
2. If you download the manual read page 16 for notching.

3. I don't have a MXT to compare it to the F75 but i had a M6.
The M6 came close to the F75 (DE mode) but the M6 read deeps coins as a hot-rock and the F75 gave me a lower VDI number. It was easier to hear with the F75 that you really have a target and not just a ground change signal. The F75 has a stronger pinpoint mode too. If you are able to use Je mode with high sensitivity settings the F75 will be deeper for sure.
