Compadre's two cents

tvr

Well-known member
Had a chance for a half hour in the community ball field just before dark, so took the Compadre out.
The two pennies are both 1978. Couple of 9 mm casings. Some lead, brass screws, copper wire and the usual tabs and screw caps.
Getting to be just cool enough so the mosquitoes aren't so pesky. Makes detecting in the fall more enjoyable!
Cheers,

I worked in my backyard all day making a couple of wood stands for my firewood and your right about the mesquitos but I had a boatload of yellowjackets pestering me, they always seem to come out in the fall the most here(NJ)

I have a very close friend (my wife) that uses a Tesoro Compadre. I am constantly amazed at she does not get that little coil down next to the ground and still finds a lot of good targets. I mean it looks like that it is 4 inches off of the ground. One fine little detector for someone that wants something simple to run. I don't think that there is another detector in the price range that can come close. Yep, she finds gold too. Bill in Texas

I hear ya Bill. Performs well and is easy and fun to use. And I know you found gold with your wife!
