compadre?

Mine has the 5.75 on it. I think most people use it because you can get closer to a fence or post. I think that's why. Some one with more knowledge will be along soon.:detecting:

They both are great. Very similar depth. Of you want to cover more ground go for the 8". I have a few YouTube videos on yoitube.

if you really want the small gold chains and small things and the spot is target rich, get the 5.75" and it will get you amazingly close to fences and metal poles, otherwise go for the 8 if you have more space between targets

The double beep thing, where the Compadre, (and only the Compadre), can find you targets near, next to or even actually leaning on big metal works the same with the small coil and the big coil model.

Depends on your hunting preference . Myself I prefer to hunt beaches and water and parks. Some times in the woods for relics but not as often as the others. I would stay with the 8'' coil if I didnt have any other option but Thats just a personal preference. otherwise. Hardwire a 3x18 clean sweep or a 9x8 and goto town. LOL

I'm with amberjack - for the price you can get two Compadres for little more than many higher priced detector/coil combos.
