Compadre with connector already done.

Thank you for your advice but I have already put the connector on the Compadre. I'm stubborn and since I got it for free I decided to risk it. It is working perfectly but I was just wondering if the 8 inch coil would fit whitout doing any adjustments. I will send the picture next time of it. Please don't feel bad for not following your advice but I wanted a deeper, cheaper machine to hunt in all metal mode. Thanks for watching

The 8" coil should work, but the detector will need to be recalibrated and Tesoro may not do it under warrenty since the detector has been modified. Without retuning it the larger coil may not detect any deeper than the original and will be less sensitive.

Congratulations on being stubborn.

I recommend trying the detector once it is all together to see how it is working before trying to adjust anything. If it beeps on coins go for a hunt and give it a good check out. Then let us know how things are going. If you are lucky, it may not need adjusting. Sometimes being stubborn can bring some luck too.
