Compadre Wireless Setup

Looking to go wireless on my Compadre and AT Pro. Ordered this bluetooth transmitter and earbuds from Amazon. Works awesome. No lag when passing over targets. Also sounds even better using my wife's Bose bluetooth headphones! $80 for transmitter and earbuds. Note* you have to use the latest bluetooth technology with Apt-X or there will be a lag between passing over a target and hearing it. Don't waste your money on the Rapoo setup mentioned on some forums. Audio quality is terrible. Happy Hunting

Thats a very nice detector setup,i currently use the TDK700 similar setup but they basically work the same albeit the have some good and bad points, but once you have used a wireless setup it hard to go back to a wired set of headphones, thats the beauty of the Deus setup that is about as good as what it gets.

Thanks. The earbuds work fantastic with the Tesoro, but the Bose sounds the best with the AT Pro. I'm keeping my wired Garrett set in the truck for a backup just in case, but won't be wired unless I have to be.

Very interested in your set up. how did you attach your transmitter. looks like it is attached to the battery door someway. i have a Cibola i want to use wireless on. i hate headphones with a cord.

Went to CVS and bought little stick-on square velcro tabs in the school section. Put the fuzzy one on the transmitter and the hook ones on the detectors. Works great! This setup would work great with a Cibola! Just make sure it's the latest bluetooth (4.0 with Apt-X) for headphones and transmitter. The earbuds I got work sweet with the Compadre. Sounds just like the external speaker. The batteries on the transmitter and ear buds last 4-5 hours and charge by micro usb just like a phone.

It says not available on Amazon right now.https://www.amazon.com/gp/mobile/dp/B00VBBLOJI/ref=mobile_oh_details_?ie=UTF8&app-action=detail&asin=B00VBBLOJI&clickstream-tag=your_order

Here's one that is even better price.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00W9AHFRK/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?qid=1437596609&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=apt-x+transmitter

Sorry Guys I must have ordered the last one on amazon. Its on it's way to me ans says it will be delivered by monday.

Hey Jim Gilmore , have you had a chance to use your wireless setup yet.If so how is it working out. they got them back in stock now. just thought i would check before i ordered a set up to see how you liked them.

I just got the bt-c3 wireless transmitter today but so far I'm not 100 precent impressed.
It does work and will find coins if you go slow enough.
I have it on my outlaw. But I was hoping that the bt 4.0 was fast enough to be just like headphones but I do not think it is.
The earbuds are bt4.1
So not sure if it is just me or not.

Did your earbuds have the apX also. the above post said they both had to be 4.0 verison with the apx. I will wait untill i hear from you to order. man i want to loose them corded headphones bad.

here is the ones I ordered....but I do not know if thereare actually different versions of aptx looking at wiki there may me a few different aptx typess...
GLCON GS-08A NFC Bluetooth 4.0 Earbuds Headset, Mini Lightweight Sweatproof Wireless Sport Headphones Earphone with AptX, A2DP Music Streaming, Microphone mic, Noise Canceling, for Workout, Running, Exercise, iPhone 6 5, iPad, Android Cell Phones

My new earbuds sound great with my Compadre but my AT Pro sounds better with my wife's Bose headset. Very comparable with my wired Garret headsets. The quality of the inexpensive earbuds may be a crap shoot. Might be better off finding a name brand over-ear apt-x headset to pair with the transmitter. It really is sweet not having the cord pulling on the headset. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Looking on amazon i'm not real keen on buying $250.00 headphones to try...

Exactly which earbuds are you using ?

I'm looking at trying these, they get GREAT reviews and are $52 shipped. They're over the ear headphones, which I prefer as they help block out external noise, and keep your ears warm when it's cold :)

The headphones have some nice features:

● 400mAh Lithium Rechargeable Battery Supports around 20 Hours Playing Time
● Bluetooth: BT3.0 + EDR
● Bluetooth Supports: HSP,HFP,A2DP,AVRCP,APTX

The Aukey BT BT-C3 transmitter I'm not too certain about, I'd like to see some lag tests with it. There's a review on there that claims the lag test on the Aukey BT-C1 is about 0.4ms, which isn't very good, but I can't find much about the Aukey BT-C3 that Tony posted.

As they say YRMD<your results may differ> I can not reccomend bluetooth as a useful setup for metal detecting yet. I have tried 2 different transmitters and 2 diifferent sets of earbuds. The newest earbuds I tried were said to me aptx csr which is supposed to be the lowest latence of the 4.0 standard. . But its a complete failure.
Just wasting money......
Headsets maybe hot and wires annoying but they work.
