Compadre test run

Had an hour to kill, so I took the Compadre I bought for my wife over to a park close to home. Wanted to get a feel for it after having Tesoro look at it. Man, I sure like this little gem. If this keeps up I may sell everything else I have and buy another one for me. I might have to get another anyway, just for kicks.

Well, in my opinion, hunting rifles, fishing poles, and detectors all fall in the "if one's good, two (or more) is better" zone. IMHO the Compadre is by far the best bang for the buck in the niche it fills.

its doing good , and one ring already, I bet you cant waite to get back out .

The two quarters, two dimes and the ring were in the picnic table area. I got the coins in the first 15 minutes. Then I wandered over toward the ball diamond. Found the earing and 5 pennys there. Realized there were more targets at the tables so headed back there and found the ring just as I was going to pack it in. The Compadre seems to do much better than the Vaquero. I can turn up the disc and tell what is a pulltab or nickle. I can't always disc out tabs with the V. I dont know how the C does on nails yet. I need to figure where things disc out before I give it back to my wife, she's pretty new to this and I dont want her getting discouraged. I did dig alot of tabs, can slaw and the like today, but only so I could get an idea what the C was seeing. So far, I like what I'm seeing.

My first detector was a Compadre. I still have it, because it's one sweet machine.

It sure is. Pinpointing was spot on every time, and when you have a good target, you know it. Pulltabs had me going until I thumbed the knob up.

I sure love mine. I have two of them and another on the way from Terry Salomon. I smile when I see someone with a high dollar detector in the play grounds around here. I will go in after they leave to find the good things. I can not beleave how tiny some things are that I find. The other day I found a 14k clasp off of something. It was so tiny. Cant be beat.... A real fun detector to use and it will get the goods.
