Compadre - Rain - UFO

tab-nabit

Well-known member
I got Compadre out next to same place as yesterday, thanks to the rain the hunt was shorter and the finds were less.
The Compadre and my headphones got a little rained on, hope they turn out ok after they dry - if not then my fault and I'll just get replacement(s).
I was planning on using the either the Silver uMax or Cibola after the Compadre, but the rain cut time short.
Anyway, got a clad quarter and 4 pennies (one wheat) but no silver this time. A little wet and very cold.
Also found these two UFOs (Unidentified Found Objects) disk with holes in the center. They appear copper and I have found these before in this same area. I have not found these anywhere else except this one area. Both sides of the disks are the same. No markings, no nothing, just the hole in the center. All the ones I found previously are the same. Todays dug clad quarter is for size comparison.
Any ideas on the disks - greatly appreciated.

Down here in Arkie Land we call them washers:rofl:

No, I know what you mean.

I found some around an old barn.

The farmer that owned the old barn took to working on all kinds of refrigeration stuff back in the 1940's and 1950's. I have no idea what they were used for or if they had any thing to do with refrigeration.

HH,

The hole is really small, they are thick, and the edge doesn't have a little bit of round cut on one side like washers do.
I can see them maybe as a high compression copper crush sealing gasket with a gas orifice, just can't see them as any standard washer.
Any they didn't get by this Compadre :detecting:

Refrigeration application of some type I guess I can see. A copper crush sealing gasket with a gas (freon) orifice.
