Hit this field right across street from my house. Been hunting it for at least five years (with my etrac), I just refuse to give up on it. The newest coin ever from this site is 1865 Indian and I got another 65 tonite plus this awesome floral flat button. This site has given up several large coppers, fatty Indians, shield nickel, CW buttons tons of flat buttons, but never a silver coin. I keep hitting it year after year hoping there is at least one old silver hiding there. Dug some lead and half a dozen shotgun shells tonite as well, so it is still not hunted out lol.....set the compadre on foil and dug all beeps. This thing amazes me everytime I take it into heavy iron....lightning fast!!!!

Spectacular work with the compadre! I really like that button. I have a hard time finding old silver as well. I hunted an older area for two years and finally got one silver barber dime and no silver since. I find my share of buttons and Penny's though. The compadre does hit well even near large iron. Congrats on the finds.

Nice going, you did great finding that old button and Indian head penny. It's not hunted out as long you can hear a beep.:)

Thats a neat button. I visited a county museum last summer and I was checking out the buttons on the clothes and other metal objects. Metal detecting is a good addiction .

Good saves on the coin and button. Where I'm from , finding silver on the old farmsteads can be difficult. Maybe 1 out of 3 sites produce a little bit of silver but every once in a while, I'll stumble on to one that produces several.

Now its hunted out. Nice finds. When ever I start to tire of detecting I get out my compadre. Then I am back in the game.

you know I would not give up on that site rather, keep detecting it until nothing comes out of it

Like Tabman and Kaolinwasher said, it's not hunted out until there are no more beeps! Great job, you are inspiring me, but unfortunately I think the ground is gonna be froze after this weekend and next week up here.

The compadre will never let anyone down. I think, because of the small coil, that it makes you slow down and take your time.
It is such a darn good little detector... KEN
