Compadre problem

My Compadre is acting up. When you move the disc. the detector sounds off with the battery check sound every time, seems to work ok other than that. Have tried new Energizer and Duracell batteries. What do you think, it's only got about 6 hours on it at the most.
 
The coil is waterproof correct? Started having the problem after the coil was submerged in a few inces of water at a freshwater beach.

It kinda sounds like your waterproof coil
wasn't.


Probably not much hope for it, if it got saltwater inside it.

All told, it should have been waterproof.

Contact tesoro about sending it in for repair and don't mess with it before doing so.

They are very nice people.
