Compadre on the way

I just bought a Tesoro Compadre that a member of the forum had for sale. I got it for my wife, she also loves detecting. She started detecting on a Garrett Freedom Ace Plus that I used to have & she really liked it, it only had a sensitivity and a discriminate dial. I am hoping (and I think that she will) that she will like the Compadre. My wife & I have been detecting together for almost 20 years and this will be the first time ever that we will each have a detector. I have a Silver uMax (and love it). The Compadre I am getting is 3 or 4 years old and has the 7" coil. I will give ya our thoughts on the Compadre when we get it & give it a try. Steve.

That's great Steve.

Just give it a chance.

Mine finds more gold than the others.

But it's always in my trunk.

Trash and tot lots, it's hard to beat.

Mine hit on a 3 ringer today so convincingly that I got it out from

under big roots.

Never found a 3 ringer with it before, I didn't know what it was,

but the signal was that convincing.

Now, that's what I call a keeper. The Compadre and the 3 ringer.

HH,

I have the Compadre with the 5.75" coil and I couldn't be happier with this machine. Excellent discrimination, goes deep with the small coil, quarter at 6" deep in my test garden is a solid signal. Hits a nickel in the test garden at 4" super strong signal also dime at 5" no problem. Great machine for the money!

Congrats Steve! I am sure she will like the Compadre! I keep reading all thes good things about it. Congrats also on the 20 years of detecting! That is great. My wife goes once in a blue moon, Beale.
