Anyone done any mods to this sweeet little machine?

been considering a coil swap. for a while now. and yes. The idea makes me cringe a little because its going to void the warranty, However. I like to push the limits on things to see what else can be done with it.

Been thinking of a Cibola 9x8 coil. swap. .....

Cut the cable by the box and solder on the female plug from the extension cable. Solder the male plug from the extension cable to the coil. Now you can swap coils and keep your warranty.

Hi Mike, That's the way I rigged my Amigo II but I see no reason to believe Tesoro would not have to still consider that a "Mod" because it is just that when you cut that cable. Hope I am wrong but I don't think so. HH, Charlie

I'm getting ready to add a "tab check" , similar to the Troy detector, to mine. I'm gonna put the spdt spring/return switch underneath like the Tejon and call it the Compadrejon. It finds tabs to 5" in some areas and gets to be a pain in trashy areas. This will keep me from the "thumbing" scene and save my knob pot from wear.I already have one on my Silver umax.

Yes that is considered a modification. We would set it back to factory settings if it came in on a repair.
