Compadre high-low tone

Hey guys just received my Compadre with 8 inch coil and was wondering if the tone is suppose to be like the Silver and several others in that the deeper the target the softer the sound gets. Mine seems to hit loud right up to the point of loosing the target, it does not get softer. I think I am going to like this detector, can't wait to try it out this weekend. Thanks

I believe your question is,
Does the Compadre have "Modulated" audio response?
Modulated audio is when the audio response falls off as the target gets farther away from the coil.

Non modulated audio is when the detector hits on the target you will get FULL audio response.

Yes my compadre gives a softer tone for deeper items and louder for shallow items, so yes it has modulated sound
