Compadre headphones

Hello all, i'm newbie, i want to know what's the difference between 8 or 16 or 32 ohms headphones ? I need some cheap headphones for my Tesoro Compadre... Yes i know you're going to say "get good headphones like Black Widow, Grey Ghost....Blah Blah Blah.., " but i'm new to this & i don't want to spend more on headphones that i spent on my Compadre.
If i like this hobby... i might buy a more expensive headphones later... But for now i just want the bare minimum headphones....
So what's the speaker ohm rating of the Tesoro Compadre ?
Thank you much for helping a newbie
Rejean

There is cheap....and then there is cheap.
Don't sell yourself short and think phones from a dollar store or a pair from a heavy discounter for $10 or under will work well.
They will work but not well because I have been there and done that.
The volume will be too low, the signals won't be as full as they can be and the Compadre is all about tones.
I have used not only really cheap off brands, which didn't even work right on my kindle, Garrett Clear sound, also not good, low end Sony's were ok but a step up was way better.
Some use buds and I have used some decent ones and they worked fine but I perfect cups myself.

Forget about ohms, just worry about getting decent sound and you will probably need a cheap converter for most of them from mini plug to 1/4".

Nobody says you have to go high end but going bottom of the line will not be to your advantage.
Maybe try one up from lowest end in the $20-$30 range but do research and look at reviews because not all are good even at that range.

Rejean you may want to check out a pair of Calrad headphones. They are really not all that bad for a "cheaper" headphone and work well with Tesoro's!

One of the best bargain buys of headphones that are specifically made for detecting are the XP wired backphones i would think they would be about $20-25 and the sound quality from these headphones is on par with headphones costing many many times more, have used them on my Compadre when river detecting and they work a treat,i will highlight the fact although i use them in river i dont submerse them as they are not waterproof.Just saying that i also use them on other detectors and still blown away by the quality of the audio.
