Compadre hard-wired 5.75 coil

Digging Fool

New member
I just picked-up a like new Compadre with the hard-wired coil. Didn't realize at first that the coil was hard-wired, since it has the hex-nut shaped connector on the back of the control box. I turned it some in an attempt to loosen it, but realized it wasn't loosening. Still works fine, but was wondering if this could twist the wires inside? Hope I didn't do any damage.... Thanks!!

I wouldn't worry about it if it's still working OK. You're going to really like the Compadre a lot.

Thanks, Tabman! I have a Silver uMax and a Tiger Shark, and got a deal on the Compadre at a pawn shop for 50.00. I don't think it was ever used. Pawn shop guy said it wouldn't work, hence the 50.00. Only thing wrong was a dead battery... Coil doesn't even have ONE scratch at all. I have a couple of trashy Civil War camp sites to try it in. Thanks again!
