I had maybe 5 minutes this afternoon to detect before dark. So I made one pass about 2 feet wide from the sidewalk to the street and found this. An 1896 V nickel, talk about a chance find and it was the first of three holes I dug in about a 1 foot area. The others just turned up a couple of odd shaped rounded rusty iron objects. Tomorrow I might be able to get back to that site down the street. I;m still fighting the urge to dash down to Winter Springs tomorrow and look at a Garrett AT Pro. But you know the continued success I keep having with my Compadre keeps telling me not to do that. Hmmm maybe this nickel is the Tesoro way of saying stick with beep and dig
