Compadre fired up again

Got a call from wife's cousin who has a neighbor looking for his property corner stakes. Asked if I had a detector they could borrow to find them. Compadre had been packed away for about three years so I got it out of the box, put a battery in it and tested it. Good 10 inches air test on a quarter; sees a piece of rebar just fine and discriminates the rebar out fully at"foil" on the discriminator knob. It is working just fine. He came over to pick it up and get a quick demonstration about why he wants to set the knob on all metal. He says he knew exactly where the stakes were until his community put down new sod and covered the stakes. He wants to find them and put them up level with the sod again without his HOA complaining about digging up the new sod to find them. This will be the third loan out of this Compadre with a 9x8 coil on it to find corner stakes. Hope it makes three successful times.
When I get it back, I need to go over the yard with the Compadre and see what I find. Fun detector to use.

The Compadre will definitely find that property marker. I had a friend looking for a property marker. I took other detectors out to his house but it was the Compadre that located the marker. You might want to keep the Compadre unpacked for a while this time. The person borrowing it might offer to buy it. The Compadre has been my go to detector for years now and I have found some great stuff with it. Many rings. Some gold and silver jewelry, silver coins, relics and so many clad coins. I have 2 Compadres and would add a 3rd one if I could. They are just that great. Good luck and HH.
