Compadre finds Silver

This Weekend my family and I went to Arizona for a week long vacation. We visited a place that we frequented as kids and of course we brought the detectors. My dad had his Cibola with him and I brought my Compadre and Silver Sabre umax I had recently purchased. My brother snatched up my dad's Cibola and my dad was goiing to take the Compadre, but decided to try out my recently acquired Silver Sabre instead. I did not feel cheated having to use the Compadre. I have found some amazing things with my Compadre and will never sell it short when hunting any area. So we are hunting out in the woods and I am hunting around a tree. I get this really good signal with the Compadre. Drill a hole with my screwdriver and stick my pinpointer in. My vibraprobe pinpointer was going crazy and I pop out this dime. My second Rosie since I started detecting, a 1958 D. I hunt mostly parks and schools with a limited amount of time to hunt. It pays to find the older sites, when I have time. We only had a short time to detect as the kids were getting hungry and the wives had been more than patient. My dad found a 1958 nickel as well that day, he gave it to me. I was the only one to find silver. Unfortunately it is not somewhere I can just go back to and hunt anytime I would like. I will be excited to hunt there again if I get the chance. I am sure there are many more silver coins lurking under the surface at this place as it is very old. Good luck and Happy Hunting.

I have spent many hours with hopes of finding a quality ring with my detector and come up short many times. The other day I spotted a sterling silver ring with many diamonds on it right beside the road just outside the house. Wow couldnt believe my eyes and didn't even need a detector to find it, go figure. Turns out it was a neighborhood girl who was mad at her boyfriend and threw it away. I gave it back to the rightful owner after they described it to a T just in case they were not honest about it. Thought about keeping it but would that have been the right thing to do?

Way to go on the silver.
