Compadre finds silver 925 spoon handle ring

The compadre strikes again. This time on Virginia soil. I found a 925 stamped silver ring that looks like an old silver spoon handle bent around to make a ring and is stamped with an f inside a diamond shape as well. It is my 1st one of this kind i have found. It has been a long time since I have posted any finds or experiences. I rarely get out any more, busy with family, work, and new home ownership. I do get out every once in a while for 30 minutes to a hour. Found this ring and some clad in less than one hour. To find a ring with only one hour to hunt brought a smile to my face. I have to praise my compadre once again. It never ceases to amaze me what it can find. Sorry I tried to post a picture from my iPhone, but it says the image is too big. Those silver spoon rings are neat. Nice going. I found one a couple years ago, but it was all smashed.

Good find DirtDigger. The first ring I found with a detector was a spoon handle ring, found in 1970 with a kit BFO. I thought it was just a spoon handle someone had curled up and straightened it out before I saw the .925 stamp on it.

Hey. I finally got a chance to take a picture with a camera instead of a phone. This is the first spoon handle ring I have found. I found it using my Compadre with the 5 3/4" coil. I hope to find a few 100 more or so. Not being greedy, they are just an awesome find. Good Luck and HH.

I remember in the 70s, those rings were popular. Finding one would be sweet .
