Compadre finds not a coin. What is it?

Dug this up after getting a great signal in an area recently cleared from years of brush in the backyard next door. No clue what it is. Anyone want to take a guess? I shot is from all sides and stuck the Sharpie in there for reference.

Could be a burner for a gas cooker. Is it hollow inside? Can't tell from the pix, but it looks about the right size.

Gas burner was going to be my guess too.

JMC I believe this is what you have found and yes it is an oldie it is a burner from an old two burner hot plat I use to use one of those a long time ago at my Deer Camp and on fishing trips down the river canoeing

That burner idea looks like it! Wow as heavy as it is I guess the backpacker and canoe crowd decades ago was in better shape than we are. The entire stove would have gone over 40lbs. Compare that to the camp stoves today that weigh ounces. Thanks for help guys, solved a mystery here :clapping:
