Compadre finds first small silver of 2014...

Had to make an unsheduled trip back to Alabama for a family emergency, didn't really worry about bringing a detector because I didn't think I was going to have any time to hunt.
The wonderful wife said bring one anyway so I grabbed the Compadre.
Sunday morning I did get a 3 hour window to hunt in the morning while everyone else slept in.
I headed to an old trashy park that I had drained of a lot of clad on many previous trips, but I have found a few really great things here also so I went to an area where I found those.
Wasn't expecting much, just wanted some alone time and peace and quiet and dig a little in nice weather and ground that wasn't frozen.
I found a few clad coins, an old key, some trash, and then I got a nice clear signal around zinc.
I expected a zinc cent, but instead this little round pendant popped up instead.
I turned it over and lo and behold there was a 925 stamped in the back.
I used the proponenter and found a few more pieces of what turned out to be the rest of an earring the pendant was attached to, I believe the other parts are silver also but the only marked object is the little round pendant.
I am counting all these pieces as one silver find and it is the first for this year.
The pendant is tiny, but nothing escapes the Compadre.

I might have one more chance to hunt before I leave town.
First gold of the year is not out of the question with the Compadre at my side.

Nice reward, Good thing you listen to your wife, sounds like a rich site to search

Nice recovery on the silver. Alabama is a wonderful place to visit, especially North East Alabama.
