Compadre find

My brother found this in his wife's granddad's front yard, with his Compadre. He said it was about 4 or 5 inches down. He said there was several pieces of metal in the hole with it. Something just told him to dig.

Nice coin!

That just shows you that not all coins are 12" deep. You will find out that a lot of your old coins are down to 4 or 5" deep. Why do you need a $1400.00 detector to find the deep ones. No need.... KEN

I shure would like to find somthing like that

My bro. has been killing it lately. He has also found a lot of good coin under some sidewalk tear outs I will post those pictures too if you guys would like to see them.

Agree Ken I recently dug two barber dimes last fall with a Shadow X2 both were no more than 5 inches deep the silver has to be in the ground to find it and ground conditions have alot to do with it as well if there is a lot of Rainfall in an area coins will sink quicker depending on soil type but most coins that I have been lucky enough to find in my soil where I search here in Texas have never been more than 6 inches deep

Cool, I look forward on finding my first U.S.A. silver!

Any arsenal with several or more detectors should have a Compadre. If you follow the threads, persistent detecting is very productive and the number of Compadre finds shows that one can do quite well without all the latest, greatest bells and whistles.

These are his sidewalk tear out finds. Some are with the Compadre. Some are with his Ace 250 and Vaqeuro.
