I know the extra features the Eldorado has. What I am trying to find out is since they apparently both have the 180 disc? then do they similiarily discriminate according to their dial setting. Do you think that although they are both 180 disc, the compadres disc is still different than that of an Eldorado?

The difference probably comes in when you start tying in all the other components of the detector and how they harmonize with each other? I think small variances in disc settings are normal as long as the overall acceptance/rejection discriminate range is a true ED-180?

Sounds good to me. Even went out with mine. I HATE it when those gold looking targets are attracted to a magnet!!!Hombre said:Neil said:Hombre thank you for your response but Im a little confused by it sorry.

Just saying the Compadre has cleaner iron rejection, the Eldo is a little more noisier, thus the Compadre will unmask better in the iron. JMHO
