I assure you it isn't nonsense. The "physics equations" may say it's not there-but it is. I found a silver dollar at 12" with an AH pro. The detector would just barely pick it up at half the distance in air, with the threshold (tr/vlf detector) at max. I also lifted the coil about 4" and still got the signal. There is almost always some loss of depth due to mineralization in the ground..
"Halo effect" has been proven to be nonsense on non ferrous metals.
