why don't they put the 7" coil on the compadre anymore. i would think it would give it more depth

I have a 7" on my Compadre and love it.

Don't know about the 5.75 on a Compadre.

I paid $90. That's the best $90 I've spent.

the 7 inch coil has always been a favorite of mine. It has just enough size to cover ground and is small enough to separate targets under most conditions. Obviously in more open areas I prefer the larger coils. I do, occasionally, use a five inch coil if the conditions are really annoying.
